Land of Giants

For our photography project we had to take to pictures and make them look like a bigger or smaller version of us was in the picture. I took a picture of the christmas village at home, then i took a picture of myself figure skating and put it in the other picture.

I chose this as my second Best of October picture because I really like how the one leaf is in focus and how its the only one going in the right direction. Also how the the back round is a little blurred.

Open Theme 2 November

I like this one because it shows the change in the seasons and I also like the feeling the sky and trees give.
Shutter Speed: 1/320
Aperture: f/3.1
IOS: 64
Focal Length: 6.5mm
Flash: Off

I chose this picture as one because I like how it is a leading line, the trees are dark, and the reflection of the sky on the water. I also like it because this picture was taken in the morning but looks like it was taken at night.
Shutter Speed: 1/250
Aperture: f/3.1
IOS: 64
Focal Length: 6.5mm
Flash: Off

I really like this one because it follows the 1/3 rule and because of all the detail around the dripping sap.
Shutter Speed: 1/40
Aperture: f/3.1
IOS: 64
Focal Length: 6.5mm
Flash: Off

I chose this one because I like the lines and how they are taking your eyes backward.

Textures

I really like this one as a texture picture because it is very clear and there is some shadows of the object. Shutter Speed: 0.033333
Aperture: f/3.1
IOS: 64
Focal Length: 6.5mm
Flash: On
I like this one because of the way the shadows look with each ridge of green. Also because there is a pattern in the texture.
Shutter Speed: 0.033333
Aperture: f/3.1
IOS: 64
Focal Length: 6.5mm
Flash: On
I really like this picture because the dried up leaf has very good texture and because the leaf is all in focus and the back round isn't in focus.
Shutter Speed: 1/200
Aperture: f/8.0
IOS: 64
Focal Length: 6.5mm
Flash: Off
This is a texture that I like because it has some nice color to it and it's not just one texture in the, cause you have the rocks, pine needles, and the dirt.
Shutter Speed: 1/80
Aperture: f/3.9
IOS: 160
Focal Length: 10.1mm
Flash: On
I picked this as my last texture because you have more than one texture in the picture again and there are some great shadows in the picture. What I mean by more than one texture is that some clothes pins are smooth others are rough and you also got a texture is you walk and let the clothes pins hit your hand.
Shutter Speed: 1/200
Aperture: f/3.1
IOS: 64
Focal Length: 6.5mm

Abandoned

I chose this one as a abandoned object because it is all rusty and no longer in use, it hasn't been in use for at least 7 years. This is the top "T" part of a clothes line in our yard.
Shutter Speed: 1/100
Aperture: f/ 8.0
IOS: 64
Focal Length: 6.5mm
Flash: Off
I like this picture because the window that was there is long gone and all that is there is the wood. There is also stuff behind the wood that mostly hasn't been touched in a long time.
Shutter Speed: 1/8
Aperture: f/3.1
IOS: 272
Focal Length: 6.5mm
Flash: Off
I chose this picture because it show good abandonment. No one has taken care of the brick. I also like it because of the contrast between the red and blue.
Shutter Speed: 1/8
Aperture: f/4.4
IOS: 320
Focal Length: 12.5mm
Flash: Off
I like this one as a extra because some of the window is broken with it all boarded up, the paint chipping on the around the window, and the brick falling out. I think the picture could of also been a bit less blurry.
Shutter Speed: 1/8
Aperture: f/3.1
IOS: 160

Pictures I took a while ago (1-3 years ago-some more recent)

I choose this picture because when I look at my eyes go strait to the groom, bride, and flowers. I also picked this picture because it reminds me of a fun day. The picture was taken right after they got married before in La Crosse. I had to let the photographer take the family pictures that I was in

I picked this photo because the picture is very clear and the goose is the main subject. I took this picture in Wisconsin Dells out side our cabin at the Wilderness Resort. We were packing up and saw them and I had to take pictures, they were so close to us you could have pet one.

I choose this picture because I love how the sun hits the edges and how the beams of light look. When ever I see this picture that I took I always think it looks like god is showing his powers. The picture was taken in West Salem.

I like this picture because the road leads your eyes to the landscape. This picture was taken in Madison at the very top of the capital building.

Free Post (September)

This photo was taken in Rochester Minnesota from the very bottom of the Mayo Building. I picked because of the lines and the refection on the right side of the picture.
